When it came time to bring personal training into East Toronto, there wasn’t really a question of where. It was going to happen at the gym we genuinely believe is the best in the city, Fortis Fitness East. That relationship grew organically over years of training there, and the owner has been genuinely supportive of what we’re building.
We still train plenty of clients in condos and homes across Leslieville and The Beaches, but Fortis is worth the extra commute for those who want it.
You’ll find us at 11 Carlaw Avenue. Drive or bike in via Lake Shore Blvd, with on-site and free street parking plus secure bike lock-up, or take the 72 Pape bus straight down Carlaw, or the 501 streetcar to Queen East and Carlaw.
Fortis Fitness East is our preferred option, but we know it’s not the right one for everyone. Busy professionals with growing families throughout Leslieville, The Beaches, the Distillery District, and Old Toronto often can’t spare the extra time a commute takes, and that’s exactly what mobile personal training was built to solve.
When you’ve got a growing family, or a day full of meetings an hour of free time doesn’t just appear, it has to be carved out of something else. Training at home means that hour doesn’t need a commute attached to it. Your coach arrives with everything needed, works with whatever space you’ve got, and builds the session around where your body actually is that day, not where a program says it should be.
East Toronto is mix of converted lofts, older low-rises, and newer condo towers, which means no two building gyms look the same. Some have a full rack and a cable machine. Others have a few dumbbells and a yoga mat. We’ve trained in enough of them to know how to build a real session out of whatever’s actually there, so you’re never waiting on equipment that doesn’t exist or driving somewhere else to make up for it.
That’s common here. A lot of Distillery District buildings restrict or eliminate visitor parking entirely, mostly because the neighborhood’s constant events mean those spots get abused by people who aren’t actual guests. Your personal trainer knows this going in and plans around it, whether that’s metered street parking or a nearby lot, so it’s one less thing for you to sort out. All you need to worry about is being ready to work when we arrive.
Absolutely, they’re welcome to be around, and we love that idea. Kids seeing their mother prioritize her own fitness is a genuinely great thing for them to witness. That said, we’re not able to actively train anyone under 13, and any client between 13 and 17 needs signed parental consent before we can include them in a session.
It’s not the sheer amount of weight at Fortis that makes personal training there so appealing, it’s the endless variety of equipment. So much of it is thoughtfully designed to address any possible weakness or gap in your fitness journey. That variety is also great for clients who like to stay engaged by learning new skills and trying new machines.

I have worked with Jeremy for about six months now as a personal trainer for strength work. He's been great to work with in every way. He's smart, and he strikes the right balance between pushing me and not pushing me too hard. I've been working out on my own for many years. Switching to Jeremy has made the work a lot less effortful and more efficient. I've had an enormous reduction in the day-to-day aches and pains that I used to experience.Posted on Google![]()

Atom Athletics makes me want to workout (and this coming from a non gym-goer). I've worked with both Alex and Hamza and they are phenomenal. They provide a curated workout plan specific to my general desires. They provide easy explanation on how to do the proper motion and also why we are doing it. I cannot recommend them enough.Posted on Google![]()

Jeremy is an incredible personal trainer. He helped me gain strength after multiple injuries! His process to your success is very methodical, he created a slow but steady plan for me to hit my goals while making sure we were being safe and considerate with my injuries. Jeremy is also a hilarious comedian so you’ll laugh and have the best time while hitting your goals! 💪 You can’t go wrong training with Jeremy. It’s a win win!Posted on Google![]()

Right from the assessment, I knew I was in good hands with Jeremy. He had the knowledge to quickly identify weaknesses and correct my movement pattern issues. I could squat pain free! Having many injuries over the years and dealing with some ongoing back issues, Jeremy was able to modify moves for me without sacrificing the goals set out at the beginning. Seeing the positive results from our sessions felt so good and was motivation to keep going!Posted on Google![]()

I came to Jeremy with long standing work related injuries, and halfway through our sessions I was hit with another setback-a car accident.despite all this Jeremy adapted everything to suit my changing needs, always putting safety and recovery first. What made the difference was the mix of expertise, patience, and humour. Even on tough days, we managed to laugh, and I always left feeling better-physically and mentally. I made real progress after years of being stuck, and it’s entirely thanks to Jeremy’s support and smart approach. If you’re rehabbing injuries or need a trainer who truly listens and cares, I can’t recommend Jeremy enough.Posted on Google![]()

I've been working out solo for years, but working with Jeremy has been such a different POSITIVE experience. Working around my mobility issues, he modifies exercises to fit my needs, and has helped me understand proper form better than anyone else - all while actively pushing me to do more. Can't recommend him enough!Posted on Google![]()

Jeremy turned me from a fat disgusting slob into a wrought iron stud. I’m happier and healthier than I’ve ever been and I could not have done that without the motivation, professionalism and incredible training I got from Jeremy. He’s super tough and he knows his stuff!Posted on Google![]()
