What does the consultation look like?

The consultation should happen during your preferred training time to get an idea of what your energy and mindset look like during this hour. You should arrive in comfortable workout attire with a full water bottle. The session starts with some mobility drills to loosen you up, transitioning to learning the foundational movements of squat, push, pull and core. The goal is to give you an idea of what a session will feel like, and if Atom Athletics is the right vibe for you.

Who is personal training for?

Personal training is meant for anyone seeking accountability and a path to reach their optimal health, fitness or athleticism. Most of us are operating at our maximum mental and emotional loads. Having a trainer lightens the friction of adding more commitments to an already busy life.

Personal training is for those who want to expedite their learning, be pushed in a safe way, while making a commitment to themselves and the process.

Why should I hire a personal trainer?

Expertise saves time and money. Having a personal trainer who is not only experienced but objective about your efforts makes all the difference. If athletes and trainers have coaches, it’s likely you will flourish too.

How often should I see my personal trainer?

Depending on your goals, you’ll need to commit to 2-3 days per week to see results. As your level of comfort and trust with exercise increases we will encourage you to begin some independent workouts reducing the number of sessions you need to see us weekly.

Is personal training expensive?

Personal training should be viewed as an investment and not an expense. The value of a healthier you can not be quantified by the time you spend with your personal trainer but by the gravity of which your improved fitness and health improves affects your life outside the gym.

In Toronto personal trainers typically cost between $60 and $120/ session. Most personal training companies require the purchase of packages to ensure you commit to enough time to see your results.
